Winter is Coming…

And I’m clinging to the bike commute. Many people by December have happily traded their wheels in for skis and boards, and I don’t blame them. Especially since Killington Mountain and surrounding hills are findings themselves filled with snow. With new lifts opening every day, the thrill of powder is palpable in the NEK.

In years past, I have also happily packed away my bikes! But this summer, I committed myself to commuting by bike as much as possible to validate my purchase of my Specialized Diverge. I had so much fun with the challenge and exploring the city by bike that I am challenging myself to continue the commute as we dive into the winter season.

I’m taking advantage of the winter miles to test products we’ve brought into the shop firsthand and test my ability to pick the right layers depending on the conditions. I’m so looking forward to sharing my experiences, the best products and gear, and some tips and tricks along the way.
